there’s sore. then, there’s this.

So I did a little yardwork yesterday. Lots of raking, bending, shoveling, etc. And I do understand soreness when you use muscles you don’t normally. Such as those used in the above-mentioned activities.

But, I mean, there’s the kind of soreness that can be alleviated (at least a tiny bit) with two Aleve and lots of water, and then … there’s this.

There’s the kind of soreness that subsides when you walk around a hilly (for Texas) campus for half an hour to get ready for a bake sale (that’s way more than just baked goods), and then … there’s this.

Ugh. I’m not complaining, just saying that two Aleves and a brisk walk should have made my muscles loosen up just a tad bit, don’t you think?
