It would be too difficult to catalog all of the awesomeness that was my weekend, but two major-cool things happened that feel blog-worthy.
First, Rags successfully spent a significant chunk of time within close proximity to another dog. This was HUGE. I can’t say that he enjoyed himself, but nobody got hurt (dogs or otherwise) and it was a helluva lot less traumatic than I expected. Yay, Rags! Apparently, old age suits him. 😉
Second, I got to see Jeff Holmes of The Floating Men fame play live. Oh.My.Goodness. When I said before that Derik cyber-proselytizes their music, I wasn’t exaggerating, and my exposure to them Saturday night at Bongo Java After Hours Theater definitely justified all the build up. The music was just amazing. (*Some* might even say that it was one of the awesomer musical experiences I’ve had, if not the awesomest.) You can preview some of the forthcoming opera on their MySpace Web site. I highly recommend doing so. (Incidentally, they also have quite a bit of music available on iTunes.)
