Here’s a few nifty April fools sites I’ve seen today:
- Google Gulp, a new beverage from Google, modeled after their GMail
- Valparaiso, but look fast, because it “fixes” itself after a few seconds
- University of Wisconsin Fox Valley, but again, it “fixes” after a few seconds
This is something that comes up annually on my listserv for university Web developers (a community that, apparently, thrives on mischevious things — mischevery?), called uwebd.
One uwebd-er wrote this — which I found funny:
“We’re debating sending an email around to all employees saying that the email server has crashed, and we have no backups. We’re working on the language now, but at the same time trying to remember the President’s machine name. He’s a good sport…he needs a laugh every now and then.”
Yeah. That would SO not go over well where I work…
