It’s June!

And, I’m turning 30 in a scant four days. Yeesh! (As an aside, I am *not* freaking out. Ahem.) Lots is happening. Perhaps with the most long-term impact (well, possibly, anyway) is the fact that one of our neighborhood stray cats had six kittens in our backyard a month or two ago. We found them …

Honeymoon photos

It’s been nearly a year since our honeymoon trip to Europe, but we’re finally (I should say, Daniel is finally) doing something with our pictures. He’s begun to upload them to Google’s answer to online photo albums. You can see Amsterdam and early cruise ship photos here. Eventually, they’ll all be up there.

scary movies

I work hard to avoid watching scary movies — I am really easily influenced and have bad dreams for days after seeing one. I just watched “Jesus Camp,” and I have to say, I don’t think I’ve ever been more frightened by a movie than I am of this one. Whoa.

Two busy weeks

Last week was UTD’s spring break, a week earlier than most schools, and instead of using the seven days off to cram in lots of extra tutoring and catch up on all the reading and paper-writing I’m so behind in doing, we skipped out of town to go to a “conference” (for me) in Las …
