Curtis went to see “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead,” and his initial review is just what I expect from someone who’s seen on stage anything Tom Stoppard has written — glowing. YAY! I can’t wait to see this myself. 🙂
back to normal, whatever that means.
So, after a whole week of feeling fuzzy, coughing nonstop, and going through (I’m *not* exaggerating) three whole boxes of Kleenex, today I’m back at work feeling essentially normal. If you’ve felt neglected because I’ve not responded to your e-mails, phone calls, or generally been MIA, that’s why.
I’m on the program!
So, the official program for July’s university Web conference has been released. I’m on tap for Tuesday at 11:30. Yay! 🙂
Where’s the beef?
Thanks to everyone who elected to play the French-themed “Monday morning trivia” this week… and congratulations to Catpants and Nicole, who correctly guessed (B) “Où est le bÅ“uf?” More on this in a sec. The tricky thing about this particular question is that all of the answers have played a role in my life. A) …
WW update – week #2
Apologies, all, for letting this blog sit unupdated for nearly a week. It’s been quarterly-sinus-infection time, so I went to the doctor late Wednesday, got good drugs, and am now coughing my way (despite the codeine-laced cough syrup, which only seems to make me dizzy) to recovery. Monday morning trivia!

quelqu’un m’a dit…
Saturday was filled with two goose chases for us: Daniel was determined to find the rollerblades that hurt the least/fit the best, were under $100, and had something other than plastic attaching the wheels to the boot; I, on the other hand, was determined to find “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead” on DVD. And on …
WW week 1 update
So, last night Daniel and I had our first weigh-in at Weight Watchers. I was actually pretty excited because I was confident the scale would show at least 3 lbs. lost, and maybe even 4. And, in fact, my weight loss for the week was 3.6 lbs. (Good guessing, Liz!) Daniel lost even more than …
Blogger tip
I’ve been trying to post that BD’s message (the most recent blog before this one) since yesterday at 3 p.m., and getting Blogger errors. I checked this morning, and they recommended deleting your cookies to fix the problem. I had my doubts that would work, but I did (in IE, Tools > Internet Options > …
eat all you can and benefit the homeless
Daniel pointed out — I hadn’t realized it myself — the irony inherent in having a fundraiser for the homeless at an all-you-can-eat joint. Nevertheless, that’s what the Habitat for Humanity kids at TWU are doing next Tuesday. If you’re among the vaunted Liz Circle (and live in Dallas, of course), you’ve probably received an …
