Alex recommended these two Internet gems, in testament to our growing-up years in the 80s: The Incredible Hulk’s blog — hilarious Finding The A-team: A Stuffo Experiment — fantastic!
{geek moment}
I recently read a very positive review about this program called PDF Converter. It not only converts documents (including scanned ones) to PDFs, but it includes this plug-in that allows you to make a PDF form fill-out-able and sendable online … something Acrobat doesn’t let you do. Best thing is, it’s much cheaper. In 30 …
The Darth Side
Check out this blog, which purports to be the blog of Darth Vader. It’s kinda cute.
Nicknames
The answer to last week’s random Liz trivia question was not guessed by anyone… which is to say, the lone guess wasn’t right. 🙁 To recap, the question was: My friend Tommy is the official bestower of nicknames for those who’ve floated through my life as dates. It’s not why everyone’s talking about Newsweek this week, but I read this morning this quote from Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, about his new weight-loss book, “Quit Digging Your Grave With a Knife and Fork” (which sounds to me like an attempt to make money stating the obvious): “I changed from saying ‘I need to …
all done now.
Thank God, praise Allah, and merci beaucoup. It’s all done now. The reference librarians gave me a half-dozen rounds of applause and offered to name their children after me before they sent me on my way all done with practicum. And not a moment too soon. 🙂
let’s review.
Two days ago, I turned in my last final exam; today at 2 p.m. I will give the presentation that will end my practicum experience. At that point, I will be done with the semester, done with my second master’s degree, and all set to take three glorious months off from school before starting the …
