I have fallen out of the habit of reading Slate on a regular basis — as with so many other things, time makes it hard to keep up. Nevertheless, I did a quick scan today and found these jewels:
Rehnquist Wasn’t Deep Throat
A look at the history of Deep Throat speculation, amid news that the story outing Deep Throat has been written by Woodward and edited by Bradlee, two of my journalistic heroes. Suddenly, I feel inspired to rewatch “All the President’s Men.” {sigh} If I only had some students to subject this movie to!
What About Bob?: Judith Miller and Matt Cooper seem to be headed for jail. Why isn’t Robert Novak?
ARGH. Bob Novak has seriously gotten off the hook start to finish on the CIA outing thing, and it seems even more so now that he’s hob-nobbing a little too much with those governing him. Corruption for five hundred, Alex?

{snip} Now—mostly because my girlfriend wants to come back—I’m back. I’m giving this dreadful place a second chance. And this time I vow I will try really hard to like India. I’m convinced it’s a reachable goal. But there are other important steps as well, which I will be outlining over the course of this week. {/snip}
