For those who can’t wait to hear how the garage/yard sale extravaganza went this weekend, you need wait no longer. On the whole, we managed to get rid of a lot of stuff (though, there’s still A LOT left! eeks!) and between the five of us, make just shy of $1000. Not too shabby, eh? Daniel was the big winner numbers-wise; he alone accounted for nearly half of our total earnings. Between his gas grill, dresser, loveseat and DVDs, he made a very tidy profit. I brought in a little less than $200 myself, mostly from DVDs and odd little kitchen and household items.
All in all, I’m pretty pleased, especially since we had our first truly miserable weekend of weather here in Texas. It was 55 degrees and damp almost all weekend, and it looks like more of the same is in store for the forseeable future. Bummer.
Saturday (the 20th) is moving day — I guess I forgot to mention the date specifically — so I will be sending out personalized pleas for your help with that. Meanwhile, if you’re burning to volunteer to help me move, please note that all my stuff will be fully packed and ready to go, and that there’s far less of it now than there ever has been (since my first year of college, anyway), so it should be a very short and relatively painless experience. I’m guessing less than 30 minutes to load the U-Haul. Seriously. If you can help, please let me know — and you’ll have my undying gratitude forever. 🙂
