But seriously, do we REALLY need a National Day of Prayer?
Do we need to spend taxpayer dollars on billboards reminding us of the National Day of Prayer?
Does the White House need to spend staff time and budget dollars on staging presidential events and writing press releases about the National Day of Prayer?
And what’s up with declaring our National Day of Prayer on Cinco de Mayo, anyway? Do I pray or do I drink a margarita … or, do I drink and then pray for forgiveness, or pray and then drink a toast?
