I feel so…. academic!

This will mean very little to almost everyone who reads it, but TOO BAD.

I just found out late last night (1 full day late, so I had completely given up hope) that I got a solo paper accepted for presentation at the Midwest Political Science Association meeting next April in Chicago.

THIS IS HUGE! 🙂

I’m already on the schedule to present a coauthored paper with one of my mentor/advisors at school, but that’s really nowhere near as impressive as presenting on my own.

And while lots of graduate students get accepted to do this sort of thing, I’m pretty sure there are next to none from my program who even bothered to try. We’ll see when the program comes out.

I am sooooooooooooo excited.

Except, of course, this means I now have to *write* the paper, which is probably going to require me to spend my entire month “off” (December) holed up in the library creating my datasource.

But neverminding that for the moment, I’m still extremely excited. Go me! 🙂
