Saturday afternoon was Jeff Holmes’s final appearance at Bongo Java for the month of weekend shows, and my third consecutive Saturday hanging out and listening to his amazing music. It was a nice crowd and a great set, and concluded with an exciting giveaway. Jeff had brought three copies of the soon-to-be-released “No Clocks, No Calendars, Act I” CD (available 2/14 on iTunes), and everyone there put names in a box for a drawing. I, of course, really wanted to win one of the CDs, but given that I never win *anything*, wasn’t holding my breath. And yet, my name was the very first one drawn! I was elated!!
I’ve had the CD on nonstop loop since I got home, and I have to say that the music improves on each new listening. I am so in love with this CD. Buy it a week from Saturday on iTunes. Seriously.
