Over the weekend, I went home to visit my parents, to help my father celebrate his 58th birthday in style (a trip to the 178 Club was in order!), and to assist with post-ice-storm cleanup in the backyard at my parents’ house. As it turns out, the situation in northern Arkansas was much worse than I’d imagined from afar. While there, I took several photos of the damage … things were so bad that I’m heading back to Piggott this weekend to help out with the two houses there (my parents’ and Grandma’s). Things there are so bleak that Grandma called my uncle Fred and asked him to fly back to Arkansas (from California) to take care of her yard. Whoa!
Here’s a link to some photos I took. I’ll post some “after” photos after we wade through some of the debris in Piggott this weekend.
