If you’ve been following the comments to my “blog turns 100” post earlier this week, you know there’s been some trash talking regarding Paul not blogging and various theories/reasons why that is.
I’d like to move this out into a slightly more visible/public forum by pointing out many reasons I think Paul would actually *enjoy* blogging. Then we’ll recap with the few arguments asserted as to why he’s not doing it.
Paul has brilliant ideas.
Yes, that’s right, the man comes up with brilliance on a daily basis. Those who’ve had the pleasure of hanging out with him on any sort of regular basis can attest to the fact that our conversations lack that certain something when he’s not around.
Paul has a fantastic sense of humor.
Regardless of whether or not he’s been drinking, Paul can always be counted upon for witty, at times even sarcastic commentary on the crazy things happening in this world.
Paul doesn’t offend people.
He almost never discusses politics or religion, and doesn’t get personal (or take things personally) when he’s talking with others.
Paul is experiencing new stuff.
As an in-training financial planner guy, Paul’s learning all sorts of new stuff ALL OF US could benefit from. What’s more, as an independent financial planner type, he will be relying upon referrals to get his name out there and to pick up clients. What better way to show his prowess than to enlighten us all on a semi-regular basis?
Paul’s got a unique point of view.
Few people I’ve met see things the way Paul does. The world would benefit from — nay, *NEEDS* to hear from him.
Paul would look sexy in a g-string.
OK, so this doesn’t have anything to do with blogging, but this is something he likes to remind us all of from time to time, so it seemed appropriate to put here.
And now, here are the reasons he doesn’t want to blog:
* “I’m not ready for the commitment yet.”
* (By proxy) Paul doesn’t want to expose his personal life to public scrutiny
Hmmmmmm. Am I the only one who thinks this is a lopsided argument?
I think Paul should blog, and then post the g string pictures. It would be the final convincor that he's sexy in a G-string
Thanks Liz, for organizing our arguments for why Paul needs to blog. I second the motion!!
I'm very pleased to know that the pressure is on Paul and not me at this point. Although, I may be next on the "hit" list. I have way too much to say and I may be offensive to some but I guess we live in a country that cherishes our right to free speech as long as you don't say anything remotely against Dubya. Otherwise, you may lose your job or end up in federal custody for an undetermined amount of time! On a lighter note, thanks Liz for the visual of Paul in a g-string. I may never look at him the same again! lol
