I guess Tuesday morning trivia was too easy this week — everyone, including someone whose identity I don’t know (sojourning crow?), got the answer right!
Which of the following musical instruments have I never played?
A) Clarinet
B) Oboe — correct answer!
C) Flute
D) Trumpet
I played the trumpet from grades 6-10, the flute in 11th & 12th grades, and had a clarinet for a couple of years that I tinkered around with. I actually had an oboe reed, and was able to master the art of buzzing a double reed, but I never had the oboe itself … though, I always wanted (and still want) one.
I still have my flute, though I rarely play it, and anxiously await the day when resources will allow me to buy (in this order) a piano, French horn, and oboe. 🙂
