I’d just like to say that I think yesterday’s Oscar nomination announcements made a serious mistake in overlooking Sean Penn‘s performance in “The Assassination of Richard Nixon,” which we saw Saturday at the Angelika Plano in my latest YAP indie movie outing. The movie, by the way, was really good — though, as it were, Nixon *doesn’t* die in the end, hehe — and I recommend taking a peek.
Speaking of indie flicks, I’m eager to see “Hotel Rwanda,” which DID garner some Oscar nods. Perhaps, if I can get ahead of my pile o’ homework, I can sneak out to see that this weekend. 🙂
