The good news of the day? The President George Bush Turnpike “Super Connector” opened recently. I just saw traffic on it today for the first time… though, I did see a news truck out there on my way to work last Friday.
The bad news? Contrary to the status quo (at least, for me), I seem to be EXTREMELY touchy lately about people who exhibit low levels of intelligence and/or information retention. In the last several days at work, I’ve had a handful of people calling me repeatedly with questions that (were they capable of retaining information) they honestly should be able to answer without me. And it’s bugging me a LOT more than usual.
The weekend was really good — Sunday we brought down boxes from the attic (the sum of which nearly filled our entire bedroom) and even packed a few of them. I signed the last (I HOPE — HA!) piece of paperwork yesterday finalizing the sales price on the house. And, I spent most of yesterday on the couch with my laptop working on a project for work that I’ve been putting off for more than six months. (And I finished!) It was amazing.
Today I return to a normal class schedule, after two weeks of mostly cancelled classes due to professors’ conference presentation schedules, etc. It’s now a long, hard slog to Thanksgiving. Whee!
Sorry to hear that your patience is running out with these people. I mean, it's understandable. Sometimes it feels like you're talking, but nobody hears. But, hey, did you know they opened the PGB turnpike to 635?!
