I’m sorry, I just think that’s hilarious.
My friend AnnaLisa had something similar happen once … she was having a particularly rough go of things and so I sent her flowers. Maybe for other people sending flowers is a big deal, but I’ve always sorta thought that flowers were a relatively easy and essentially fool-proof way to show someone you care. AnnaLisa’s boyfriend at the time, though, said something similar — “That’s nice and all, but now I look like shit!”
Sorry to steal your thunder, guys. Well, okay, maybe I’m not so sorry. It’s just that, once you realize that (to a woman) the small things matter most, you realize that an ounce of effort can bring a bucket o’ joy. So why wouldn’t you?
I dare you to give me one GOOD reason why. (And I do stress GOOD.)
