The moving extravaganza weekend went better than I’d hoped. Thanks to the help of some wonderful people — Paul, Robby, Rhett and Sandra — we got all of my stuff and most of Daniel’s stuff moved in a single day. Now all that’s left to do is the nesting, which we all know is MY favorite part.
I have a couple of pictures, but not a super-huge collection — there was a lot of work and I kept forgetting to snap photos. I’ll post some soon.
I’m in love with the new house — I think it’s adorable and I LOVE the kitchen! So much so that it’s the only room I’ve fully unpacked and mostly set up. Enough to cook dinner for our fabulous moving helpers tomorrow night to say thanks for their hard work and willingness to give up part of their weekend to assist. Y’all are the best!
The only real kink I’ve hit is the fact that the DSL, which was supposed to be up and running three days BEFORE we moved in, still isn’t hooked up yet. The phone company’s supposed to be out today to install the line, then Daniel has to work his magic to make everything work. If you dare, imagine for a moment a Liz with less than six hours’ sleep at midnight Saturday jonesing for an e-mail check and no phone line OR internet access with which to feed her addiction! Not pleasant. Daniel assures me it will all be working soon, though. Let’s hope!
Congrats on a successful move!
