Long known colloquially as “Cashew Kitty” (which I understand is gross, but nicknames given in high school are rarely known for their cooth, ok?), Diamond Head is bar-none my favorite Chinese restaurant in these United States. I’ve looked everywhere I’ve lived for ten years to find a place that can match or best the crab rangoon they have at Diamond Head. Unsuccessfully, I would add.
While up in Arkansas last weekend, my brother and I made our obligatory stop by Diamond Head to sample the noontime buffet and have some one-on-one brother-sister bonding time. We actually ran into our Uncle Bob there, too. (One of the perks/side effects of being in a small town; people you know are *everywhere*.)
Randomly enough, some guy came up to my brother while we were waiting in an interminable line to pay (the little old ladies in front of us were flummoxed by the concept of the cash register, I suppose) and asked if George knew where the stamp-collecting show was in town. Apparently, there was some exhibition/fair/show thingy in Mountain Home Saturday for stamp collectors. Since George’s Hawaiian shirt of the day sorta vaguely was reminiscient of stamps, the guy figured George would know. Random. Weird.
Anyway, here are a couple of pictures.
