Yesterday, I moved a truckload of crap to Plano in preparation for next week’s fabulous yard sale chez Daniel & Paul, including several pieces of furniture and a whole bunch of smaller stuff. My apartment now has that oh-so-familiar feel of being in the midst of tremendous change. Boxes are everywhere. I have a pile of stuff to sort through. My bed is sitting on the floor (the frame has been broken apart). Fun, fun, fun.
If all goes according to plan, we’ll pick up keys to the new abode around Nov. 20 and move in that weekend prior to Thanksgiving. The idea is to get most of the moving/cleaning done before we head to Arkansas for turkey day so we don’t have to obsess (as we all know I would) about all the things that need to be done whilst visiting my parents.
I’ll get a picture of the house posted in the near future, but I’m very happy with it! We saw the inside on Friday and personally, I’m a big fan. It has a garden tub, kitchen island, double stove, and the utilities are completely manageable (we talked to the girl who lives there now). My impression is that Daniel isn’t nearly as impressed/excited, but he still likes it enough to move forward. Now all that’s left is the official application approval, which should come in the next 48 hours or so. 🙂
So … if you’re not busy that weekend, feel free to come help us move. We’ll have lots of food and beverages (adult and otherwise) available for any and all who volunteer. Plus, of course, you’ll have my undying gratitude. 🙂
