There are many reasons I can’t wait to see “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.” Renee Zellwegger is one of my favorite actresses, and then there’s Colin Firth … ahem. My longstanding theory has been that every woman who’s seen the A&E rendition of “Pride and Prejudice” with Colin can share in and empathize with my affection for him; those who find him unremarkable without fail have never seen that miniseries. (And, IMO, should do so with all possible haste.)

Colin Firth, sigh, is simply dreamy. Dreamy in any role that he plays… sigh.
BJ's Diary 2 was, erm, ok. The reason that 1 was so wonderful and awesome was that Bridget was a real human being. A slightly overweight, minor inferiority complex, striving towards a career and a boyfriend. Very easy to understand and to realate to.
This movie makes her dumb. She's so overly insecure that she comes across as needy and clingy – a trait that grates on you across the screen. And she no longer posses the small bit of common sence that made her so adorable in the first movie.
That said, there are some really good laughs in the movie. First one is better, second one is worth seeing at least once.
